CTET Syllabus

CTET Syllabus: The Central board of secondary education (CBSE) is going to conduct the CTET Exam of this year. There will be two phases of exam Paper I and Paper II.

  • CTET Paper I (Primary Stage) will be for the candidates who intend to teach Class I to V
  • CTET Paper II (Elementary Stage) will be for the candidates who intend to teach Class VI to VIII

In Both papers will be multiple choice question. In a year, CBSE conducts this exam two times. Candidates need to prepare well the CTET Syllabus. First we will see the exam pattern of CTET then the syllabus.

CTET Exam Pattern

CTET Syllabus Paper I or II comprises of five sections. In exam there will be total 30 question from every section. There is maximum 150 minutes to solve 150 questions from all these parts. The exam will be OMR based multiple choice question. There will be no negative marking in the CTET exam. To qualify the exam student need to get 60% mark overall i.e. 90 marks out of 150.

The questions in the test for Paper I will be based on the topics prescribed in syllabus of the NCERT for classes I–V but their difficulty standard as well as linkages, could be up to the Secondary stage.

Language II will be a language other than Language I. A candidate may choose any one language as Language I and other as Language II from the available language options.

Second Language option would be English, Hindi and Sanskrit only. Candidate may choose only two languages from English, Hindi and Sanskrit only.
