National awards to teachers is an award to some teacher who has given his unique contribution to our India. In NAT 2019, There were more than 10 teachers who were selected for this award. This year for NAT-2020, The last date to submit your entries is 6 July 2020.

Conditions of Eligibility of Teachers

The eligibility to apply online is very easy. Every teacher must follow this to get this award.

  1. Teachers should not have indulged in tuitions.
  2. Teacher must be regular to their school.
  3. Contractual Teachers and Shiksha Mitra will not be eligible.
  4. Retired teacher are not eligible for this award.
  5. School teachers and hacks of schools working in recognised primary/middle/high and higher secondary school.

Criteria to select teacher’s for this award

Teachers will be evaluated based on the evaluation matrix. Evaluation matrix contains two types of criteria for evaluation

  • Objective Criteria (20 Marks)
  • Criteria based on performance (80 Marks)

Objective Criteria

These criteria are given the weightage of 20 out of 100.

6Development of e-contents, textbooks, teacher handbooks for SCERTs, Boards or NCERT2
7Whether the teacher is enrolled for any course under SWAYAM or any other MOOCS platform2
8Development of e-contents, textbooks, teacher handbooks for SCERTs, Boards or NCERT2

Criteria based on performance:

These criteria are given the weightage of 80 out of 100.
