VSSD PG College

VSSD PG College is a private institution located in the city of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. The institute was established in 1921. It is affiliated to Kanpur University, Kanpur. College full name is Vikramajit Singh Sanatan Dharma College, Kanpur.

College offers Under Graduate and Post Graduate level courses in fields of Arts, Science and Commerce, leading to the B.A., B.Sc., B. Com and M.A., M.Sc. and M.Com degree programs.

VSSD PG College

• The college was inaugurated in July 1921 as Sanatan Dharma College of Commerce, Kanpur.
• It was in the year 1975 that the College was renamed as Vikramajit Singh Sanatan Dharma College (VSSD PG College) in the memory of its dynamic founder Rai Bahadur Babu Vikramajit Singh.
• Since its inception, the institution had the opportunity to have the able guidance of Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviya Ji and the blessings of Swami Dayanand Ji.
• Having a campus area of 72 acres, the college presently runs various Post- Graduate and Under Graduate courses in various disciplines namely Arts, Commerce, Education, Law, Physical Education and Science.

  College affiliated to Allahabad University. Courses offered– B. Com.

• 1925

  Post-graduate (M.A.) course in Economics and undergraduate course in arts (B.A.) started.

• 1927

  College affiliated to Agra University. Faculty of Law was established. Additional Courses offered–M.A. in Hindi, Sanskrit

• 1942

  College renamed as Vikramajit Singh Sanatan Dharma College  (V.S.S.D. College) in the memory of its founder, Rai Bahadur Babu Vikramajit Singh.

• 1956

  Science Graduate (B. Sc.) course started in Physics, Chemistry and Maths under Faculty of Science. 

• 1964

  Master of Science (M. Sc.) courses started in Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

• 1967

  College affiliated to C.S.J.M. University, Kanpur.

• 1972

  1972- Department of Teacher Education established in 1972. Courses Offered-B. Ed

• 2003

  Department of Physical Education & Training established. Courses offred- B. P. Ed
